These supplemental rules are intended to work in conjunction with the IKF rules in general, and the IKF 2-cycle rules in particular. In the event of a conflict between any of these supplemental rules and any of the IKF general or 2-cycle rules, these supplemental rules will control.

1.  The 85cc IAME Puma engine package is the only approved engine.

2.  Kart and driver minimum weight is 310 lbs.

4.  All other kart specs will be as per IKF sprint rules (section 200).

5.  Technical specifications:

5.1.  Unless otherwise specified, ALL components of the airbox, carburetor, carburetor cup, engine (All internal and external parts of the engine), starter, ignition, clutch, header, pipe, muffler and radiator shall be OEM and as original manufacturers spec's.  (See section 504.3) and must meet specification's.  No aftermarket parts allowed.

5.2.  No re-aligning, grinding, reshaping, sandblasting, polishing, coatings or additions of any material on everything in section 5.1 unless otherwise specified.

6.  No switching components, engine is supplied complete.

7.  May raise the cylinder exhaust port to 163 degrees maximum, by adding cylinder base gaskets.  Top of cylinder may be machined to meet 8.0 cc minimum.

8.  Cylinder head may be machined at the mating surface only.  No re-shaping of the combustion chamber.  Combustion chamber will be 8.00 cc minimum.

9.  No coating of pistons, rods, cranks, heads or any internal parts.

10.  No machining of any engine component unless specified in these rules.

11.  No switching of carburetors.  Stock Tillitson 334 carburetor only.  No switching of needles.  May switch throttle shaft screw to button head allen.  Throttle cable linkage is non-tech item.  Addition of flat washer to low speed needle is allowed to aid in carburetor adjustment but may not switch needle.  Intake measurement will be 1.990 inch minimum - 2.310 inch maximum length from piston to outside surface of spacer block (Only 1 outside gasket - .0025 minimum thickness allowed).

12.  No alterations to any "engine package" component unless specified in these rules.

13.  Exhaust flex length may be altered.  Solid tubing may be used.  No coverings allowed over the flex or pipe except factory wrap.

14.  Allowed spark plugs will be any BR series plug.  Spark plug boot is non-tech item.

15.  No modifying of clutch.  No alteration of the clutch from known manufacturers stock parts.  No re-lining of clutch shoes.  Must weigh 460gr. minimum.

16.  Battery is a non-tech item and may be removed from the kart.

17.  May add nut to crankshaft to utilize Yamaha style starter.

18.  No grinding, porting, polishing of any component.

19.  10 tooth or 11 tooth front sprocket is allowed.

20.  Air boxes must remain unaltered.  Air filters as per IKF rule # 603.1.4.  Air filter cup as per rule #603.1.3.  Airbox rubber flange may be trimmed inside of box.

21.  50mm rear axles are allowed in this class.

"INTENT" to circumvent the rules can be grounds for DQ also!

It is your responsibility as the racer to know the rules for your class.  If you have any doubts as what is legal and what is not, then you need to take the responsibility "BEFORE" the event to check the legality.
