Donner Hill Climb

Upper Section - It's hard to define where the upper section actually starts... But, after your first pass, one spot that will be permanently etched in your mind is the long steep straight that leads to the "Donner Summit Bridge." You need to take care, in how you transition onto the bridge, as you will be leaving what feels like "good-grip" asphalt and crossing onto a narrow strip of "cold non-grip" concrete... In all seriousness, a mistake here is not likely to result in an injury, it most likely would result in death. Once across the bridge, the road feels flat and fast again. Then it's back into 6th gear... You will find your foot hard against the throttle, flat-out, all the way to the finish line, at just over 7,000 feet elevation.
